Introductory Pricing.
All of our hosting plans and some of our other services include an introductory offer on they payment terms The details of these, the length of the offer, savings made and renewal price are outlined in our pricing table. The price quoted, shows the equivalent monthly price.
After the initial term the renewal price will revert to the published standard monthly fee for that plan. At this point, you can switch your plan to a monthly payment option if it is more convenient.
This offer is available for new customers only, for the first subscribed service on the account. Subsequent products will be charged at our standard monthly rate.
30-Day Money-Back Offer
As part of our Hassle-Free Guarantee, we offer a 30-day money-back offer, if you are not happy with our Hippo Hosting service.
We agree to refund the full cost of your Hippo Hosting Plan, minus any charges for domain registration, email services or other add-ons.
This offer is not available on our Business Pro Hosting, Hippo VPS Hosting, Hippo Dedicated Hosting or Hippo Web Designer Hosting, as people sometimes use these for short-term projects.
You can claim the guarantee once, and on one product only. As we believe 30 days is more than enough time to sample our services, if you subsequently buy a new service from us the 30-Day Money-Back guarantee will no longer be applicable. This is to prevent illegitimate users, using our services for short-term purposes.
Payments made using Cryptocurrency are not included in our 30-Day Money-Back offer. However, your statutory rights are not affected.

Our Free Hippo Toy, is sent out by Royal Mail Second Class Post, after your initial payment. We send it to the address on your customer account. Free Basic Website Backup
Our free basic website backup service is avaialble on all Hippo Hosting and Hippo WordPress plans, with the exception of the Hippo Hosting Value and Hippo WordPress Value plans. Whilst the backup is setup on account creation and is automatic, this service is unmanaged and the customer is responsible for ensuring that the backups are maintained and checked for interigrity or completion.
The customer is also responsible for any restoration that may be required. Hipposerve will help you complete a restoration if required, but are charge equivilant to our standard hourly rate of £59 p/h ex VAT.

Our Free Website Builder is available on all Hippo Hosting plans. This drag and drop user interface allows customers to quickly create a professional quality website. This service does not support E-commerce websites and Hipposerve provide the solutions for other tools for this purpose.
The Site Builder is a proprietory interface and Hipposerve can ake no guarantees of the portability of any website created using this software.
Sites created must adhere to the limitations of the hosting plan where they are installed.

14.3 By purchasing this gift, you give permission for the named recipient to transfer the domain to their own account if they wish. They will be provided with a unique code on their gift certificate that allows them to initiate this transfer. Full ownership of the domain will be transferred to them, and they will become responsible for renewing the domain.
14.4 A matched email account includes 1 mailbox for 12 months. The discount included will renew at our standard mailbox price at time of renewal. Additional mailboxes are charged at our standard rate. Hippo Mail Exchange mail boxes are excluded from this offer.

FREE WEBSITE MIGRATION.

To qualify for the free website migration offer, you must order it at the same time as ordering your website hosting.
Free migrations are like for like transfers only, using the same platform as the original web website. If necessary, we will also perform some web optimization.
This offer also includes domain and email transfers, if the equivalent service is purchased through Hipposerve.
Free Migration does not include modification of the design or content of the website, if design work is required, please contact our support team to get a quote.

Here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions.
I already have a domain name, can I transfer this to you?
Yes, you can. There are different ways to do this depending on the type of domain name that you have, but our automated systems do most of the work for you. You will have to contact your existing domain registrar and tell them that you wish to move, and then our systems can do the rest. It takes a few days for the transfer to take place.
Can I upgrade a package, if I outgrow it?
Yes, you can automatically upgrade a package and you will be charged pro-rata from the time that you upgrade. If you are unsure what do do, just give us a call and we can go through the process with you.
Can I downgrade a package, if I am not using all the facilities?
Is is possible to downgrade all or hosting plans. However if you have purchased a 1 or 3 year discounted plans we will be unable to refund the difference and the price will be updated at the start of the next billing cycle. See our terms and conditions for further details.
What's the difference between shared hosting and other hosting plans
Shared hosting is a low-cost web hosting solution suitable for the vast majority of personal, community and small business websites. Whilst you have your own private space, resources are shared between other users on the server.
For customers with demanding or high traffic sites, or for those looking to host a web sites with faster speeds our Business Pro or VPS hosting is recommended. These are fully managed for you, and as always, hassle free.
What control panels does your hosting come with?
Our shared hosting plans all currently come with cPanel, which is perfect for managing all aspects of your website.
Our Business Pro plans come with a choice of Plesk or cPanel depending on your requirements.
Our VPS and Dedicated server solutions come with a range of control panels and software installation options suitable for individual needs. These can be customised for specific purposes by our Hippo Helper team.
How long does it take to set up an account?
It is worth remembering if you purchase a new domain name or transfer an existing name to us DNS propagation can take up to 72 hours. This is beyond our control.
What billing cycles do you offer?
On most of our products we offer monthly, annual or 3 year billing cycles.
In most cases, the longer the billing cycle, the more money you save.
Is my account backed up?
Whilst we backup our servers in the event of catastrophic failure, we do not provide these to customers to restore their services as a result of individual account failures.
We would always recommend that customers purchase one of our Hippo Care plans during the order process, which includes a full account nightly backup, with 30 day retention.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, direct debit and more than 50 different cryptocurrency coins.
We are also able to accept BACS payments by arrangement for annual or 3 yearly billing cycles only.
Can I resell my web space?
We offer specific hosting plans for web designers and developers who want to publish more than one website.
Significant savings can be had by signing up to one of these packages.

Can I have additional domains pointed at my account?
Yes, we actually recommend it. The more versions of your business name that you have parked or being used as an alias, the less chance there is of someone else using that name and passing themselves off as you.
All our packaged allow multiple domain name parking and our technical team will help you set it up.
Can I run an ecommerce site?
Of course, we support and are able to offer advice on a range of E-Commerce solutions.
